Kits for Kids - Personal Hygiene Product Drive

The 2019-2020 provisional class of Junior Auxiliary of Meridian will host a kick off event Friday, Feb. 14 (11am-1pm) and Saturday, Feb. 15 (11am-2pm) at Hwy 19 N Wal-Mart to collect personal hygiene products for students in Meridian Public and Lauderdale County School Districts. Some 16 middle and high schools will receive free personal hygiene products in mid-March. Items collected include soaps, shampoos, body wash, deodorant, laundry detergent, feminine hygiene products such as liners, pads, and tampons, new children's underwear and socks, etc. Full size and travel size items are welcome. Booths will be set up at both entrances of Wal-Mart on Hwy 19 N in Meridian. Food baskets featuring grilled hotdogs and hamburgers with chips and a drink will be sold outside of Wal-Mart with 100% of proceeds to be used to purchase personal hygiene products for the drive.
